It was the last day of our Henan trip. I woke up early. It was rather bright at 6 O'clock. I went around the streets near the hotel and took many pictures. We would go to the Gospel Church this morning. After lunch, we would travel to Zhengzhou Airport Hot Spring Hotel and stay there for a night. We would travel to Beijing the following morning.

When we arrived at the Gospel Church, I saw a number of stalls selling things outside the Church. It was liked a small market. It reminded me of the days when I was at primary school. There were many stalls selling food outside the school and we liked to buy from the food stalls. The children in the Sunday School were singing and playing games. They were active and behaved well. A few children turned back and looked at me very often. Those children reminded me I was a volunteer at a primary school three years ago. I went to the primary school every week and took care of the children who made use of the computers in the library. Though the school teacher asked the children to call me as "Mr. Tay", but they often asked me whether they could call me as "teacher" or "Uncle". On one occasion, one of the mischievous children called me as "baba". It is much different in our life than that from the past. In some families, both parents have to go out to work. The children need care and need people to talk with them, but many of them are neglected.

We checked out of the hotel after lunch. We leaved for Zhengzhou hotel by a minibus. We would stay a night in the hotel. Xuewen and Miaolian sent us to the hotel. During the journey of almost two hours, we chatted and joked and later took a rest as we were tired. We were with each other for only a few days, yet we were sad to be apart. I had a complicated feeling when I was in the bus. I thought of my classmates of YAH! Community College who were in Nanjing Jinling University for the Elders at that time. I could not join them as I had come to Henan. I thought of the love of the friends in Zhoukou, I felt sad as we were be apart soon. However, I was happy that I would be in Beijing the following morning. I would meet my friend Jinyu and I would have my freedom to visit the capital. When we arrived at the airport hotel in Zhengzhou, the room key sets were ready for us. I booked the rooms through the Ctrip internet reservation. What we needed to do was just full out our particulars. When our group members went into the lift, I was talking to Xuewen and Miaolian. They were waiting for transport to fetch them back to Zhoukou. I invited them to take a rest in my guest room. Suddenly I was shocked to hear the pastor shouted that the lift was there and asked me to get to the guestroom. I am very upset when I got to my guestroom. I kept thinking of Xuewen and Miaolian. They were at the hotel lobby. They gave us their hospitality for the last few days, how can we just leave them in the lobby? My goodness! Maybe I grew up in a Teochew family and I am not used treat people in this manner. I remembered that my nephew sent me off to the car park when I visited him in his University dormitory many years ago. We were the guests just a few days ago when Xuewen and Miaolian honoured us well. We were now at the hotel and they became the guests. Did we remember what the Bible said: Practice hospitality! I was rather unhappy as if I went against our family teaching. I took the opportunity of meeting the hotel staff and I went to the lobby. After getting me a brand new towel, the staff talked to me. When she knew that it was the first time I visited Zhoukou, she presented me a VIP card. I told her that I did not need the VIP card as I was not sure whether I would be back to Zhoukou. She presented the card to me with confidence and asked me to accept it. She told me that I would be the VIP the next time I stay in the hotel. After collecting the towel and VIP card, I saw Xuewen and Miaolian in the cafe. I went to see them with a few members. When brother Song came, he joined us for a while. Then he fetched Xuewen and Miaolian back to Zhoukou before it was dark.
