I used to make it early on Sunday when I went to the Church.
It was because I would go to the Sunday Morning Market.
Several hawkers would take turn to come to the market to sell their goods
on different Sunday.
That morning I saw a hawker selling health care products. He was promoting the Mulberry Enzyme, explaining the benefits and ways of taking the Enzyme. I bought a small mulberry tree at the end of February. There were many mulberries on the tree. I took one and found that it was nice to eat. So, everyday when I saw any ripe mulberry, I would pluck and eat. The fruit was finished in a few weeks. When getting older, I started to take great care of my health.
I was standing in front of the stall with a group of aunties and uncles,
and listening to the salesman about the benefits of Mulberry Enzyme.
The aunties and uncles were paying attention all the while. When the salesman said that it was S$50 for a bottle, some of the people move away. I was also with a heavy heart. The salesman should be experienced. He must be aware of his potential customers. Those who knew the good would buy again. Those who did not know the good would go away when hearing of S$50 a bottle. I was keen to buy. But I was hesitated because of the price.
Then the salesman said to an auntie right in front of him,
"Sister, when you heard about S$50, you thought very expensive, right?"
At that time, I left quietly. I walked to the other end of the market. I went to the Automatic Teller Machine and withdrew S$50 from the bank. When I walked near the stall, I saw an uncle paid S$50 and took a bottle of the Enzyme. I followed right after that uncle, took out S$50 and said to the salesman, "I want to buy a bottle." |
