At those years, I was a volunteer of Thai Good News Centre. It was because I wished to assist the Thai people in Singapore. After involving in the Centre for more than a year, I thought of taking up a one-year course in Bible College. So that I could help the Thai people better. I did not have any intention to serve God in our local Chinese Church. Therefore I did not go for further studies after my one-year course.

When listening to the sermon in Church, sometimes some pastors liked to mention the meaning of Bible verses in its original text. It would either be Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek. I was sick of that. We were not doing Bible studies in the Bible College. Why the pastors not directly tell the believers the true meaning that related to our lives.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11 : 28)
I used to hear that verse since I was young until I was old. But I seldom hear pastors mentioned and explained the following two verses, Matthew 11 : 29 - 30.
29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

I did not attend our Church service regularly for more than a year. I went to other Church. Many years ago, I met a couple who did not attend Church service for a long time. I asked them the reason. They said that they attended other Church. If you found that you did not grow or build up in the Church, change to another environment.

I finally understood what "building up" was for this recent year.

I listened to a pastor I loved much talking about "Taking the yoke with Jesus". It sounded the alarm in my soul for a few days.

Oh! The secret of God's kingdom! We really need to have God' wisdom to understand the secret.

Jesus said to us, "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart".
Jesus invited us to take the same yoke with him. It was very touching for his invitation. He is beside us, any problem?
Jesus wanted us to learn from him. "To be gentle and humble in heart" is an excellent virtue. That is good!
If we do so, we will find rest for our souls. Try it if you do not believe.

Jesus also said, "For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
It is true. When Jesus is beside us, the yoke is really easy. With the strength of Jesus, the burden is light too.

We the Christians need to seek opportunity to understand The Secret of Heaven.
