I like to take vegetarian food. I cannot find any vegetarian food stall
around our neighbourhood hawker centre or coffee shop. Hence I used to take
a bus to other places within 10 kilometres away to take vegetarian food.
I visited some of the vegetarian food stalls often. There were a few stalls I did not visit again after taking the meals there for two or three times. Among those stalls, I paid for the cheapest price of $2/= for a plate of food and the dearest price of $5/=
I used to go to the Hawker Centre at Commonwealth Drive at least twice a week.
There is a hawker who sells a plate of normal vegetarian meal for $2/=.
Usually there are a lot of people queuing up. If each of us buying only
for our share, then it will be fine. But sometimes there will be people
buying five or six packages for their colleagues. Then we have to queue for
longer time.
The most costly vegetarian rice I took was $5/=. I did not visit that stall any more.
I am not a pig. Why gave me so much food and it seemed like feeding the pig with food waste. It was uneasy for me to eat. I did not want to waste and had to put the food into my mouth spoon by spoon. I did not enjoy taking it and felt discomfort in the stomach after meal. If she could finish selling the food, threw them away and let her boss lose some money. She could also feed back to the cook not to prepare too much food. Why did she treat the customer like a pig? Why must she served and charged $5's food. The customer wasted the money and it was not healthy for him too. That was the reason the customers turning away. |
