The Singapore General Election was on
11 September 2015. The Nomination Day was on 1 September. From 2 September to 9 September, there were election rallies held by different political parties. On 10 September, a day before the polling day, it was a cooling off day. There should not be any campaign by any party or candidate. On 2 September evening, I traveled a distance to Hougang Central attending the rally held by Workers' Party. It was 10 days before that, I also went to Hougang Central to attend the SG50 Celebration Dinner by Workers' Party.
I attended the Independent Candidate Han Hui Hui's rally on 3 September.
It was held at a stadium near Redhill MRT Station. I read many comments by the supporters of various parties on the Facebook. There were video clips of the speech during the rally too. I was very pleasant. It seemed that I was in a mess of shits. I disliked people talking nonsense. I was fed up with words of putting others in shame. I was disappointed of speech in slandering others. Suddenly I seemed living in the inferior society. On the cooling day of 10 September, I wanted to go to my favourite Changi Village. But I changed my mind. I went to West Coast Park that was nearer to my home. I reached the Park at noon. It was quiet. Only a few children flying the kites and a group of young people. There was no crowd. I used to come to West Coast Park with my son when he was very young. But today I came by myself. I took pictures along the way. The green and nature made me feel peaceful. When I came to a small stand of trees, I was attracted by the squirrels. I spent some times watching them. After I went to the Cafe in the Park enjoying my hamburger and ice cream. I took a break before going home. Before moving off, I went to a place where there was nobody. I prayed for the General Election. After spending a few hours in the Park, my soul was been cleansing by the Holy Spirit. I went home with placidity. |
