When I was enjoying my afternoon tea at our Teban Market
in the recent months, I saw many children playing kendama.
I loved it very much. I finally found out from the children that I could get it at Woodlands and it was
about 12 dollars.
I did not go to Woodlands often, I thought it was far.
But the price of 12 dollars was not too much for me
as I loved the kendama very much. Two weekends ago, I had an appointment at Woodlands. I went there early and had time to wonder about in the shopping mall. I saw a loving boy playing kendama. I asked him where I could get it. He was so kind to give me very detailed direction and I found the shop soon. There were many types of kendama in the shop. The price was between $12.90 and $59.90. There was a few much expensive one that I could not afford. The pretty young shopkeeper knew that I would buy one for myself. She was very kind to show me the various types and introduced one for me. It was $15.90. I went to the cashier. Oh! The handsome young man smiled at me. Looking at his baby fuzz above his lips, I suddenly realised that at God's time, He made everything beautiful. Right! I walked to the MRT Station at our appointment time and saw my handsome grandson. He opened his arms and as usual we hugged each other. It was hard to describe the feelings. Just like emerging from the filthy mud and drenching with a stream of cool spring. The mind was purifying. I took up a course on magic trick seven years ago. I learned a few tricks to pass my time and to amuse others. As I am getting older, it is good for me to practise some magic tricks. So that I could keep myself young and alert. I was once very crazy in the trick of Ring to the Chain. I played it once a while even nowadays. When I taught the elderly Keep Fit Exercise four years ago, I encouraged them to play that trick too. I hoped they would be deft.
After buying the kendama, I started to practise and got a
little improvement. |
