Our classmates met almost every Thursday to learn Peking Opera starting April 2014. A week prior to the performance on 5 October, we met everyday for the whole week for the rehearsal. We parted after the performance and we met each other again at the Appreciation Dinner.

We had our karaoke session after dinner.
Some of us sang Peking Opera. Many of us sang pop songs and folk songs. I like Teochew Opera. Although Teacher Bian said that the Karaoke System consists of more than ten thousand songs. I still brought my Teochew Opera VCD.

Not many of us like or appreciate Teochew Opera. But none of them laughed at me when I sang the song of "Reunion after Ten Years". I heard someone singing softly. Another teenager asked his father what I was singing about. His father told him that I sang Teochew Opera song. I heard someone said that I sang both of the male and female characters.

After singing, my friend told me that there were two European ladies paid much attention in my singing. One of them came and thanked me before leaving. It made me surprised and happy.

I enjoyed the evening very much. I had the opportunity meeting Teacher Bian and Teacher Huang Ping. They were very positive and encouraging when teaching us Peking Opera for the past six months. Besides, I met many handsome guys and pretty girls. Their loving care made me overjoyed.

It was a wonderful evening at the Singapore Chinese Opera Museum.
