2nd September 2014
It was a sweltering afternoon. After the long journey in the
pleasantly cool train and bus, I finally arrived at Changi Village.
Enjoying the sound of waves. Letting go the trouble and disturbance
to the sea. Let the flowing and ebbing of the tide engulf them. Cheers!
Sometimes I like to go to Changi Village.
I usually take a bus to Jurong East, and transfer to the
train of East-West Line. When reaching at Tanah Merah Station,
I transfer by bus to Changi Village.
It takes more than an hour.
I enjoy the journey from Tanah Merah to Changi Village.
I always bring a book and read it on the bus journey.
There is no phone call and I do not worry about forgetting
to alight.
I knew that I would not meet any friend at Changi Village on
that day and I could be free and easy.
Although there is a reservoir near my place. But I may meet
someone I know. If we just say 'hello' and be apart,
I will have my leisure hours. If the other party starts talking,
it will be bored for me on disagreeable conversation.
I took the traditional Cendol Melaka once I reached there
and enjoyed my free time.
After that, I walked to the beach.
It was hot and there was no visitor.
It was peaceful.
I watched the boats coming and leaving.
When the boats passing by, the waves surged the waves
towards the beach.
Listening to the music of waves, the trouble and disturbance
were washing away.
I ever heard a saying:
You do not need to say so much, the person who understands
you will understand you.
Otherwise, even you explain and explain many times,
he will still not understand.
When I was young, I liked to write these on my diary.
Under the blue sky (藍藍的雲天)
Among the vast crowd (茫茫的人海)
Who is my partner knowing my true feelings? (誰是我知情知義的伙伴)
Who is my intimate friend asking after my health with deep concern? (
誰是我問寒問暖的知己)
Soul-stirring when seeing through this world.
(看破人世驚破膽)
Heart-breaking when knowing thoroughly human nature.
(視透人心濕透心)
I stopped writing these when I got older and older.
I try to regulate my thoughts.
I enjoy seeing the waves and listening to the waves.
That is a good way of releasing the emotion.
