We are Ruined
Spiritual Health

I started using Facebook after taking part as a volunteer at the Inaugural Youth Olympic Games. My friends from the voluntary group encouraged me to have a Facebook account so that they could share photos with me.

In the beginning, I made friends with those I knew. After that, friends of my friends became my net-friends. Some of the friends created and invited me to the Group. I later even communicate to those I did not know them personally.

Quite often when we saw a picture of video and read the remarks on the character, most of us started to criticize, abuse, satirize, put the person to shame using vulgar language and filthy statement. It made me feel rather ill at ease.

What was happened at the scene? Nobody tried to find out! Sometimes even the person who posted the picture of upload the video did not know at all.

I dislike those ill-behaved people. If you are not the party concerned, what is the motive to post the picture or video of others? When reading the vulgar language and filthy statement, feel satisfied? Is there any help to correct the ugly behaviour of the society?

I also dislike some of the person who took and posted the video. If you are not in any danger, just help on the spot to make our society more beautiful. Do just sneaking around shooting the video. There is not useful to oneself, to others and to the society!

I met some nice passengers when I was on board the train. They gave up their seat to me. Among them, there was a Singaporean school girl of about 15 years old. There was an Indonesian maid of twenties. There was a school girl who came from Thailand. There was also a foreign worker from India. Thanks them very much for their kindness.

There was once a grandma came into the train. She gripped on to the pole. I asked her whether she needed a seat. She nodded. I then requested the young man sitting in front of me to give up the seat. He noticed the grandma and quickly stood up.

Sometimes we faced cases like that, we could help on the spot. We helped the grandma to have a seat. Besides we helped the young man to learn to respect the elderly.

I watched a post of a video on Facebook a few weeks ago. Nobody knew exactly what was happened. But there were abuse, criticism and mocking. I was disturbed. Are we misled? We started to pass remarks to the thing that we did not know. Are we being bad influenced? Have we lost our righteousness? We let the grudge exert a subtle influence on our character and thinking.

Be clear minded. Do not let our spirit be contaminated. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
