Fenugreek
Spice or Herb?

I went for an One-Day Tour to Johor, Malaysia on 1 July 2012. When visiting the herb farm, I learned that the seeds of fenugreek could be used as herb. I then bought four small packages of the fenugreek seeds.

Indians use the Fenugreek seeds as spice in their cooking. The seeds can be used as herb to help in treatment of high cholesterol and blood sugar. Hence I took note of this herb that was new to me.

As usual, I tried to make experiment of this herb on myself before I let others know about it. Otherwise I may do people harm.
This is the way I used the herb:

I used one tea spoon of Fenugreek seeds and steep in half mug of hot water before bed. Keep it overnight.
When I woke up next day, I added another half mug of hot water. Took the drink before food.
I then added hot water again to the seeds and repeated taking the drink several times as drinking tea.
By the end of the day, the seeds would become soft and I ate them.
If you do not like to eat, then throw away.

Fenugreek seeds may cause side-effect to stomach for somebody.
Hence, I do not use a spoon FULL of the seeds.
I used to take the drink five day week and stopped it during weekend.

In early August 2013, my friend told me that he suffered from high cholesterol. I gave him a package of Fenugreek seeds and he started to take it. By early December 2013 he told me that his doctor examined him and he was now normal.
