The second day after arriving at Ban Hin Taek Village was a Sunday.
I wished to go to a church for Worship Service extremely.
But I was unfamiliar with the place and did not know many people yet,
I did not know where the Mandarin-speaking Church was.
On the Sunday morning of 20 January, I reached the Church early. Pastor Fu (符教師) preached on the Parable of Sower recorded in the Gospel of Matthew Chapter 13. Praise the Lord! The seed of the Gospel sowed in my heart 52 years ago. The seed was on good soil. Pastor Tse Dao Chuen (謝道泉牧師) and Pastor John Nelson (藍以信牧師) spent much effort in training me. 23 years after my baptism, I resigned from work and enrolled myself in the theological studies with Singapore Bible College.
After the Service, I was walking to the restaurat to take my lunch,
I sensed that someone stalking me.
I asked the Principal why she did not drive to the Catholic Church.
I told the Principal that I was going to the restaurant to take my favourite
Thai fried-rice. She said that the restaurant was closed on Sunday.
We went to the canteen of Holy Love Hostel after reaching there.
The Principal took from her room a small pot. She said that she cooked
"glutinous Chinese New Year cake rice".
I took a bowl of the rice. I had never taken that type of rice.
There was glutinous rice. I could see grain by grain, not look like porridge.
Two days later during lunch time, the Principal brought a pot of "glutinous Chinese New Year cake rice" to the canteen. Nobody took it! No One Can Oppose God's Plan I attended the Sunday Worship Service on 27 January. Pastor shared the message of "No One Can Oppose God's Plan".
A few days prior to 27 January, the Principal asked me whether I would
attend the Worship Service. I told her I would.
The Principal commented our Christianity several times in front of me.
I told her that when I was in the Bible College, I took the Catholic nuns
as our brothers and sisters in Christ when visiting Catholic Old Folk Home.
It was written in the Bible: May God guide us to respect the beliefs of others and not to insult the people, things, and things that are related to God. |
