It was a Friday evening in April. I was going for our Cell Group Meeting.
I arrived too early. So I sat at the bus stop and prayed.
I asked God to bless me with good health.
After my baptism, I left the Church in a year's time. Uncle Lir, our Church member, who loved me very much asked his son to bring me to look for a suitable church for me. With another, three of us went around to look for a church. We finally came to the Faith Methodist Church which was very near to our Church. When Pastor Wong receiving us, he said, "Have a peaceful mind to worship God here. No need to be transferred (membership). When you think of going back, then go back to your own church." We were at the Faith Methodist Church for three years. When the pastor who falsely accused me was transferred, I returned to our own Church where I was baptised.
I always remembered Pastor Tse Dao Chuen who taught me about the Ten Commandments,
the Lord's Prayer and way of life as a Christian, etc;
I remembered the handsome policeman. He used to come to the Thai Good News Centre on Sunday. He would accompany me to the Park nearby to reach out to the Thai people. Actually he came to take care of me. I told him that the Thai people would not receive me if he put on the police uniform and was with me. Hence he put on batik shirt as me. I never imagined that I spent twenty minutes talking to God about my 52 years roving all over churches in Singapore. |
