Li Jia was born in the family of Opera Artists.
He started his study in Shantou Culture and Arts School.
He visited Hong Kong and Singapore with the School
and took part in the opera shows of "Shop of Double Happiness",
"Found a Bracelet" and "Match-making of Mo Gui Ying"
He was graduated in 1998 and joined the Guangdong Teochew Theatre
Group One. He took part in various performances.
He then studied in the Chinese Opera Institute, an institutions
in Beijing, in 2000.
He has been a mentor of Opera in Singapore since 2003.
He has been teaching Opera performances, history of opera
and Opera Theory in several primary and secondary schools.
He was the director of the Huangmei Opera "Fairy of the Carp"
which performed by the students of Bukit Panjang Government
High School.
He trained artists and conducted a number of Teochew Opera shows
for MacPherson Teochew Opera Group
and Theng Chuan Tan Clan Association of Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
Other than Teochew Opera (潮剧), Lin Jia has also performed in Hokkien Opera (歌仔戏),
Qin Opera (秦腔), Huangmei Opera (黄梅戏) and Peking Opera (京剧).
Lin Jia ever took part in the show of "Spirits" 《妖精》by
Toy Factory Productions and he impersonated females character
Sai Jin Hua (赛金花). He also took part in the Malay programme
“Pesta Pesta Pesta” of Suria Channel.
He attended a number of art festivals in Indonesia, Malaysia,
Korea, Taiwan, India and Monaco.
Lin Jia is good in writing performance reviews. His contributions
were released on various magazines and newspaper in Singapore and China.
