I joined Singapore Jaycees in 1979.
I was accepted as a new member of City Chapter (City Jaycees)
on 23rd June 1979.
Whenever I recalled the good old days in City Jaycees,
I would remember the
Jaycee Creed
and the Oath for Active Member.
Oath for Active Member
I solemnly promise ......
To be a person of faith and of principles;
To be a friend, companion and brother to all;
To consecrate myself to good works;
To bear myself loyally and uprightly at all times;
I further solemnly promise ......
To faithfully serve the purposes of the Jaycee movement
and at all times uphold its ideals and principles.
Jaycee Creed
I believe :
That Faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life;
That the Brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations;
That Economic Justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise;
That Government should be of laws rather than of men;
That Earth's great treasure lies in human personality; and
That service to humanity is the best work of life.
