I was working for the Thai Good News Centre in 1990 to 1992. The Centre is in Singapore and is operated by the Lutheran Mission to Thais in Singapore.

During those three years, I had opportunities to visit various parts of Thailand. The picture above was taken in Mei Ai, the northern part of ChiangMai. The girl was preparing SomTam for us. If you are in Singapore, you may go to Golden Mile Complex to eat SomTam - the Thai style "achar".

The Thai man is my student. He was baptised in Singapore and went back to his village Mei Ai. He was very pleased when I travelled 17 hours from NongKhai, the border of Thailand and the Laos, to his village, Mei Ai, to visit him.
