My son Solomon and his schoolmates took part in the Schools Digital Media Awards (SMDA) 2009. When the result released early March this year, their team received the Platinum Award. I watched the piece of work they had done. I was very glad to see their hard-work. After watching for a few times, I noticed that the names of the principal cast and crew were written on the sanitary napkins. It was amusing.

I talked to my son about sex frankly whenever he asked me. He was aware of the difference of organ of generation between an adult and a child when he was young.

I ever told him about the joy of the sanitary napkin 'New Freedom'. He understood the joy and laughed.

Before taking up the lessons of sexual education in Primary School, I bought him a number of reference books. When he took up the lessons, I used to find out from him the lessons he attended and whether he had any doubt. He always answered that there was nothing much,

My parents never told me anything about sex. It seemed like sex was something that not to be spoken of. Nowadays, there are still parents do not tell their children about sex. They may not know how to start talking about it. May be they do not know about sex clearly too. There were people felt uncomfortable when they saw the sanitary napkin in the short film. They might be born during the years when my parents were, 100 years ago.

I was pride to see the creative idea that my son making use of the sanitary napkin in their work.

I was thankful to the teacher who guided them. He supported the young creative children and helped to bring them up as broad-minded persons.
