Starting On the Journey
Singapore 2010

More than three thousand volunteer workers were gathered at the Singapore Expo for the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Volunteers' Day on 16 June. They were aged from 13 to 68.

The first Youth Olympic Games is to be held in Singapore from August 14 to 26 next year. Twenty thousand volunteers were needed and to date twelve thousand volunteers were registered with the organising committee.

The Volunteers' Day started at 1 p.m. and many people arrived before twelve noon, the starting time for registration.

Other than the YOG information displayed, volunteers were given the resource pack. Pictures of volunteers were taken and pasted on the board. The journey started and training would be followed soon.
