Twenty years ago, I worked in the Thai Good News Centre for three years. I taught the Thai people in Singapore in both English and Chinese. They were mainly the construction workers, domestic maids, and some housewives who were married to Singaporeans and students studied in Singapore. Hence, I made a lot of Thai friends.

Rev. Tapio Karjalainen, a Finnish missionary who worked in Thailand for many years, came to Thai Good News Centre in February 2009. A old friend of mine when I went for a mission study trip in Thailand about twenty years ago, Tapio and I have been meeting regularly at the prayer meeting for three months. When Solomon was young, we used to bring him to Thai Good News Centre. He was taken care of by pastor Visanukron's wife then.

When we arrived at the Centre, we were greeted by Visanukron who was invited and came from Thailand to attend the Celebration. We were glad to meet a few friends who were with us twenty years ago.

The celebration started with the performance by the Thai Christians on the birth of Jesus.
The angel went to virgin Mary and said. "Greetings, you who are highly favoured! The Lord is with you. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus."
In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. And everyone went to his own town to register. So Joseph went to Bethlehem to register with Mary.
While they went there, the time came for the baby to be born. Mary gave birth to her firstborn, a son, and wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger.
There were shepherds living out in the fields near by. An angel appeared to them and said, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord."
The shepherds then went to Bethlehem and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger.
