Singapore Flyer
02.01.2010

On the 2nd January 2010, I attended the evening outing with the West Coast Community Centre. The activities included a river taxi ride, Singapore Flyer ride and a dinner.

There were eighty participants. We left the Community Centre by two coaches at 4 p.m. Our group leader was Madam Quek.

We arrived at the Merlion Park in half an hour time. Then we took the river taxi to the Marina Bay where the Singapore Flyer located.

The Flyer ride took about thirty minutes. It was stable while boarding and alighting the capsule. Each capsule took about thirty persons. While in the capsule, I did not feel much on the raising up and down of the capsule because it moved very slowly. It made us viewing the surrounding with a peaceful mind.

I found only the English edition of in-flight compass. I am familiar with the surrounding, so the compass did not help much. I did not know whether there were in-flight compass in other languages for the foreigner tourists.

We went to the restaurant at Redhill for our dinner after the Flyer ride. Madam Quek had arranged the seating in advance. We took our seats in good order. It was good to have the organising ability for group leader.

We arrived at the Community Centre at 8 p.m.
